GForce MAP - 4U Sound Bank

$15.00

In the 1960's and 70's, two approaches to synthesis were developing - an "East Coast" approach, which primarily utilized subtractive synthesis and performing on traditional piano-style keyboards, and a "West Coast" approach, which placed greater emphasis on creating harmonic complexity and manipulating timbre through methods such as audio-rate modulation, wave folding, and non-traditional performance interfaces. The East Coast approach was primarily associated with the work of Moog and ARP, while West Coast synthesis originated in California, where Don Buchla, and later Serge Tcherepnin developed their own methods of synthesis and sound shaping.

The 4U Sound Bank for the GForce MAP, named after the "4U" panel size of Buchla & Serge modules, contains 40 patches that draw from the approaches of West Coast synthesis, while still incorporating the elements of East Coast synthesizers, recognizing that both philosophies overlapped a lot. From pads and polyphonic patches, to leads and evolving arpeggios, the 4U Sound Bank goes down the path of experimentation, while staying rooted in the classic and enduring tones of vintage synths.

After payment, you will receive the file in your email.
