Oberheim OB-X8 Bi-timbral Sound Bank

A bank of 64 single patches which combine to form 32 "double" (stacked) presets, these patches were made to highlight the power of the bi-timbral capabilities of the OB-X8. It took a great deal of work to create this set, because it's not enough to just make 2 patches and stack them, but they have to blend and balance together perfectly into one sound, while not being cheesy or un-musical. When designed with care, bi-timbral patches can sound really special.

The single patches load into User Groups 11-16, and the Bi-timbral patches, which are the "pointers" to the single patches, load into the Double Groups 9-12. It's recommended to first back-up your patches before loading new ones.
